I have approx. 15 hours on my new raptor. I can already hear more valve noise (tapping) than it did when new. I know that this is obviously because it is getting broken in and that they need to be adjusted per the 20 hour adjustment Yamaha calls for in the manual. My question is this tapping sound I hear bad for the unit, and should I discontinue riding it until I can get it to the shop? I am thinking of going down to the dunes on Saturday but I don't want to hurt my baby

it depends how bad they are i never adjusted my valves since i got it i am waiting until my service manual to come in. so since i rode mine for 3-4 months with not totally greatly adjusted valves so i doubt it would hurt it IF its not really bad
