Default lowering raptor 700r in the rear

i just got a raptor 700r, and im gonna lower/widen it in the front and the rear. i was wondering if i can just remove the stock mount where the shock mounts to the swing arm in the back completely, and just hook the shock directly up to the swing arm, or do i have to get a whole new mount like from crj or durablue. also whats the best mounts for lowering/widening it in the front and rear? i was gonna go with CRJs front and rear lowering kit because they are pretty reasonable in price. 85 for the rear, and 65 for the front. i can go 4" lower in the rear, and 3 1/2" lower in the front and 2" wider in the front. ill probably just buy both mounts next week, but i was just wondering.

im more into racing and mild jumps. i wanna be able to corner faster basically. i know what to buy to lower it. i just wanted to see if i could save a few bucks and just take the swing arm mount off all together.

lowering = less suspension travel and possibly sacrificing quality too, if u want to corner faster get +2 a arms, new shocks, wider axle and get your rear shock replaced or reworked for the new setup

hmm. i dont know if lowering it 3 1/2" in the front will make it bottom out on the frame or not. i really like how it lowers it 3 1/2" and widens it 2" for $65. ill just do some more research.

Yes listen to Speedy, unless your flat track raceing or something like that I wouldnt use a lowering kit.

If you want to lower it a little plus improve handling and suspention you can add some YFZ 450 shocks to the front this will lower it a little over a inch in the front. Then add a GT thunder linkage to the back, this will lower the back about the same.

With this set-up you are lower and have way better handling and you improve your suspention vs hurting it with a lowering kit.

Still fairly cheap to do for around $300
