Default raptor 700r yfz450 plastics

this might sound like an odd question, and im kinda serious when i say it, but it seems to me that the yfz450 and raptor 700r have a really similar frame; if not the same. i wanna know if its possible to slap some yfz450 front plastics on a raptor700r. i love the way my 07 raptor 700r se looks. except that grill kinda sticks out. i just want it normal and not as steep like a yfz450. so do you guys think its possible to get some yfz450 front plastics on it w/o modifying them?

No

The frames are completely different and for one thing you would be covering up the radiator on the 700.

well said bberck, now good effort, if you wanna change the design of the raptor and move the radiator, i'm sure you could.

they dont look completely different to me. well i understand id have to move the radiator but thats not a big deal. with all the stuff they added to the 700r from the yfz450 it just makes me think.

They used things like A-arms and foot pegs, they took the geometry of the YFZ and came up with a close frame for the 700.

Not only do you have the radiator to deal with but the gas tank comes up much higher than a 450 tank, all the mounts are in different locations and I could go on and on.

Anything is possible but I doubt even if you got it to work that it would look good.
