Why do old frames cost more
I was just messing around on my local atv dealers website at the parts and noticed that a BARE frame for an 86 Moto-4 is $1,082, but the frame for an 07 yfz450 is $640. Why is this so?

Supply and demand.
Most likely no one makes frames anymore for the 86 so that frame is more rare, therefore the price might be higher if there is still a demand for the frame and no one is making it anymore.
Just one possibility.
