I have one headlight on low beams, and when I switch to high beams, no headlights. Are these just bulbs, like in a flashlight, or do I need whole new lights? Any help is appreciated.

Quadfather, when on low beams does BOTH headlights come on? Or do you already have one burned out headlight( low & high beam filaments).
If both headlights come on then go off when switching to High beam, i wonder about the switch?
It seems unlikely that both headlights would go out at the same time on high beam only.

I get one light on with the low beams, none with the high beams.

Sounds like the bulbs. I quess remove them and check continuity of the filaments. Seems to early for bulbs to be going out. I wonder if different vendors make these.

Be Carefull when removing the lamps. A friend of mine had the flange break off and the bulb fell inside. It is a real Bi#$ch to remove the light assymbly.
It happend to a friend of mine's Y2Kodiak.

A few weeks ago I noticed I had a headlight out so I bought a new bulb. Before installing, I had been on a short ride, and further noticed I had high beam only on one side and low beam only on the other, and either would flicker while riding. Very strange, thought maybe a grounding problem. Removed both lights, and one bulb didn't seem to fit snug. Replaced the bulb, and all problems disappeared.
