True, but normal air we breathe is already 71% Nitrogen and only 19% oxygen, which means that the vast majority if the molecules are already Nitrogen.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: maddog56Personally I don't see the advantage of using nitrogen. Atmospheric air is already 71% Nitrogen, are you guys telling me that the other 29% is going to make a measurable difference in a tire that only uses 10psi or less to begin with? It's useful for high pressure applications in heavy duty trucks but IMO a sham for low volume, low pressure applications like atv tires.

If I have 5 PSI in my tires at sea level (my house), then travel up to the mountinas (~5k feet), my air pressure is now like 10 PSI. I have to let the air out of my tires when I ride up there, then put air back in when I go to the beach. I also see the air pressure vary with weather somewhat. I wonder how much Nitrogen would help with that?

I run regular 02 in my tires and as long as I dont run over anything to sharp i dont leak any air out, maybe when the tires are old then you would have a problem with that, but thats what they have SLIME for.
I run about 4.5 in the front on my wolvy and 4 in the rear.</end quote></div>
anything sharp?...hahahah that would cause a leak alright =)
