Default wolverine 450 hits 60mph.

hey guys sorry to bring up a old post, but didn't want to clutter. I have a stock 450 wolverine. If i take out the clutch and send it to hauck, they wil send it back and all I do is put it in? How fast does it go when the hauck clutch goes in? (it will be my only upgrade) Alot more torque? How much does it cost?
Thanks alot guys

before you send it out you have to clean it up good. Then they will send it back and you have to regrease it(not a tough job though). I would say you should end up with between 55-60mph tops. You should get more torque with it as well. They quoted me with 115-125 I believe. And that will be one of my future mods when the $$$ flow improves again.

Hauck is a yamaha builder for just about anything yamaha. They have done alot with Yamaha sleds for a long time and they do great work so for them to have adapted some of the same technology and thinking to the ATV with similar clutching systems only makes sense and goes further to show they know what they are talking about (being able to take the same idea and adapt it to ATV's). It sounds like the Hauck mod and clutch kit are the way to go.

I know this is an old post but it's a good thing to be aware of with getting the clutch machined. Since it causes the belt to ride higher in the sheeve, if your belt starts to wear it sit even higher on the sheeve and will wear a hole through the plastic cover right wear on of the dipples for the bolts goes. Causing water to get it, bolt slipping and extra wear. So check your belts, hopefully this isn't to late to save someone some ca$h.

this is un related to clutches but ive got a problem on my 06 wolverine 450....heres what its doin...it does a combination of a few things.
First it will alow me to go the top speed of 50 or so mph and after about 200 yards it bogs down and dies and wont start for a few minutes.
second it wont alow me to go over 10 mph with out bogging down and eventualy dieing
it idles fine so id asume that its not a carb problem and when i talked to my dealer they of course wanted me to send it to them and theyed look at it for me... I really dont want to do that due to the fact that its expensive and money is tight right now does anybody have any ideas?

I have around 1000 miles on my wolverine (the original one that this thread was started about) with the hauck machined sheave and absolutely no problems with the belt or anything.

and for anybody else who is interested in doing this...here is a quick acceleration video of my wolverine.
