Default 03 Wolverine carb problems

About a month ago I snapped the frame on my Wolverine,I was going to take it to get it fixed today and the carb problems started..The bike would only fire for a few min.So I checked the line going to the carb..It was fine, getting gas into the carb..So I turned the fuel **** off and checked if their was gas in the bowl by unscrewing the little bowl valve at the bottom of the carb, gas came out as normal..

Now my problem is after screwing the fuel bowl screw tight, when I turn the gas on with the fuel ****,gas will still start coming out of the bowl valve and keep coming out till I turn the fuel **** off again..This is a brand new carb with one season on it.

Any ideas what can be causing this??

Is there a chance that you had a piece of grit in the carb that made it run rough, then when you drained some of the bowl it got caught in the bowl valve not allowing it to seal completely? Might be a good idea to take the bowl off, check the float level, and spray out underside of bowl and the bowl itself with some carb cleaner. Throw some fresh fuel in it and maybe change the fuel filter for the little cost that is. Mine ran rough and or not at all intermittantly and a friend said to drain the old fuel out and put fresh in, and by golly if that was not it.
