Blaster Troubles
i really hope your oil injection did not quit, anytime i take in a blaster i gut the oil injection. so your on the right path. make sure you remove the micro switch in the throttle when you do the tors kit you can actually gut the wiring and the relay if your so inclined as no function on the bike utilizes it. your blaster if stock should have a 230 main jet, remove the slide needle and raise "lean" the needle out, also check your fuel inlet needle seal and the floats they should be 20 to 22.5 mm from the gasket surface. in small two strokes float positioning is nearly as critical as main jetting!!!!!! it is very possible that you will have to rebuild the top end on your bike... you said you already have after market reeds pay the few extra bucks and get the jug ported.... and be careful when you give this back to your son, a ported properly jetted blaster is stupid quick in acceleration.

OK the engine top end is defiantly hosed just tested the compression and its 40psi! Before I tear this thing apart is there anything else I should check or do to the engine before I replace the top end? I checked the torque on the head it's good.
Thanks for all the help already.

if need be i can snap some pictures for you 2marrow, you have to remove the throttle slide, there are some castings in the body that are finished at a slight angle you have to grind that slight angle flat or mill it, the castings should be 3/4inch from teh body to the end, also make sure you put the idle screw on the side of teh carb with the idle ramp, this is the side with the idle air jet screw. ill try to snap some pics later for you it really is not that hard to do, after words clean the enire carb.
