Blaster Troubles
As far as your compression, I would bet that it will be the exhaust side of your piston that is bad and maybe even broken off. If so make sure to get all the pieces out of the bottom end. I flushed with gas 3 times with the quad up side down. You will also want to check the groove in your connecting rod to make sure that there are no pieces stuck in there and also take a little screw drive and rotate the bearing to make sure it is ok. Milling the head will give you a little more squeeze in the cylinder, but this alone won't give you a real noticable difference in power. My one Blaster we took the head 40 thousands, the second we took I believe 80 thousands and o-ringed it. I don't know what your location is but when we put on the aftermarket exhaust we went to 350 main jets and raised the needle one notch and they seem to be running good.

After pulling the piston it was damaged on the right and left sides right at the rings. The rings were ground into the sides of the piston. My mechanic told me that a burnt piston on the right and left sides means that it was run to lean. I'm sure I did this to my self as I ran some of my 4 stoke gas, has extra oxygen added.
I just finished removing the TORS and the oil injection system along with rebuilding the carb. All I need now is my cylinder back from the shop with the new piston.
