Ok so the stock jetting on a Raptor is 140, 145, and a 24.5 pilot right? I put a Big gun complete Exhaust on mine and installed the recommended jetting given to me by Big Gun. They suggested a 150, 155, and a 27.5 pilot jet.But the bike still seems overly lean. SO i ordered a 152.5, and a 157.5. Please, anyone have any commects on this

I have the same thing and mine cuts out at top end. I think its lean too so I ordered all jets to 195. I have heard that the folks on the west coast are going with Pro Design and 180/185's and its pulling great. I am at a loss too. What symptoms are you having that make you think you are lean?????

Yes, I am running 180, 185 on the mains with stock pilots, air fuel screws 3, and 4 turns out from bottom. Elevation 2500 ft. Unleaded premium fuel.
Yes I run the full CT kit.

Carb tuning can really get old, but,
It is also the way to pull out the best performance your machine can offer.
Check out the website below. It is not specific to mikuni 33 mm BSR carbs, but it is a smart way to tune these types of carbs.
Good luck!

No2stroke, I havent had a chance to do this myself due to the fact that TC racing has had my raptor for to long of time now but anyway, if your not running a filter kit or holes in lid you shouldnt need to go up as high as 180-185 I would think you should be in the 160's with the stock air box and pipe. Let us know when you get that plug the right color I still think the 157's you orderd will still be lean.

Check it homies, i said to hell with the smaller jets and am going with a 172.5 and a 177.5, it will probably be a little rich with just the Big Gun exhaust, but i will be soon adding some form of free flowing air box/air filter. By the way, if you want jets from Sudco, i suggest that you call them NOW, they are running out of jets in a hurry, i just got the last 165, 170, 172.5, 175, 177.5 and 180. So dont hate me when they say that they are out, by the was that number is 1-800-998-3529

It's a shame that we are THE TESTERS, but I guess it comes with buying a new machine. I just got back from the dealer with some new jets. I don't have a pipe yet, just running with spark arrestor and the intake restriction out. This is what I thought I'd try.
27.5 Pilot jets
150 / 155 Main jets.
What do you think, is this a good starting place for my mild mods?

x-treme165, I am running 150 and a 155 with a 27.5 pilot. But that is with Big Gun exhaust, and its running lean as hell, so you are on the right track if you are running the stock pipe. I had the 150, and the 155 while was running the stock pipe and it ran pretty good, (i think the Raptor is a little lean form the factory)

Eric, I would start at somewhere around 172-178 whatever is available according to no2strokebs sudco is almost out of them. I'm sure someone else selse them but I havent checked cause I dont need them at the moment. I will put a post here in the forums and see what kind of jets and part#'s and see if the shop I race for can get them for future needs!
I would go with a 175 and a 180 this should get you in the ball park ( and it will be safe, not lean) also you might want to get some 27.5 pilots just in case you have a bog at low end right off throttle, I wouldnt put these in unless your quad is bogging at low end. Also with the temperature being cold you wont get the carbs perfect so I would try the 175 and 180 to start so at least you can ride untill spring and not be running lean. Check your plug after you change these it should be tan/brown is where you want it but if its black and you dont feel any real hesitation leave them in untill after winter its better to be rich than lean if the plug is white (it shouldnt be with those jets) but if it is you'll have to go up but you should be ok. I thought you said the dealer was going to do this for you, if they do I'de use those jets above so your not getting killed with time and money in labor fees if they start you lean you'll have to take it right back and go bigger but I think those jets should be close but I doubt you'll get it right on in the winter. Also be sure to when checking plug let quad warm up and then go wide open in 3rd and kill engine while wide open and then check plug for color. Good luck let me know how things turn out. I still cant get ahold of TC noone answering phones must be backed up and tired of everyone complaining.hehe
