I wish the 450 had the same wet brake system as the 350. Besides, with all the money you saved, you could do a boat load of upgrades!!! And all in all, when you're out on the trails, the trees all look the same after 30 mph or so and they all hurt after that too.

GI,

The 2008 Grizzly 450's have the rear wet brake setup... I am wondering if you can adapt the 2008 parts to the '07's? ?

Also.. I sent your a PM (private message) take a look if you haven't already

Thanks,
Steve

Hey Stevie... I sent those pictures... let me know if you didn't get 'em. I was wondering also if I could adapt those 2008 parts to my bike as I had heard from someone else that they put that wet brake on the '08 450.

The 350 w/IRS has the diff- loc. Wonderful quad. I'd say it's a judgement call; if yer gonna need lo- range or if ya really need the beans of a larger engine. I considered the 350 as I'm in the market, I'm really impressed with Yamaha's ultramatic CVT but concluded that the 350 wouldn't be my cup of tea in the steep, hilly area I live in, but that diff loc almost had me............

Junker,

I am going to look into it.. Yamaha's site doesn't have the parts for the Wetbrake listed..

Kwacker,

Yea - the LO is a very nice feature!! I am impressed with their CVT as well.. helps that they have been making snowmobile forever and a day... I would probably bet that Yamaha, Popo, and AC have the best CVT setups for that reason alone.. .oh and BRP /Can-Am as well. Afterall they are the only 4 that make sleds.. hahaha

I like the torque of the Kodiak/Grizzly 450 engine.. I mean most of the time I run around in 2-Hi, and if needed 4-Hi sometimes even 2-Lo

Gotta run - need to load quad and hit the road!

man this grizzly runs smooth and freaking fast for my (1ST) Quad!
I am in love with it.
The automatic no shifting is swet i would gladly paid 6k for this machine and not regrete it.
I have went through mud hills ad everything the last 24 hours to see what she has.
This beast will turn corners like i have never seen.
I was keping up with a dirt bike today doing about 30 or so MPH banking the corners like it was something from MARIOKART DOUBLE DASH.

I have already adjusted the shocks.
The shock standard setting was great but i was just playing around with them to see how better then can get.

Over all i have no complaints about this quad.
Just wished it came with a fuel gauge.LOL

You've got to be kidding! Yamaha couldn't spend the extra $5 to put the gauge in the tank like they do on the 450! It's these little things that make you wonder.

Good to hear you're happy with it. There's nothing better than driving your ATV around with a big grin on your face.

I had an ear to ear grin on mine when I left (so to speak) a Sportsman 400 in the muck 5 to 6 times with both my machine and his having stock rubber. He is also a far more experienced driver than I am as well. It may of been because I had the front diff. lock, or sorry to say "Polaris is S*#t".

what is the best way to wash the mud off my machine?
the is kinda covered. The quad looks like a mud ball.
i was keeping up with a new 08 arctis cat 700 4x4 in the mud and did not get stuck.
The dude on the AC got stuck in the middle while i crused by him. maybe it is because my machine it lighted then his AC.

the lighter quad does help. As far as washing, find the closest .25 cent car wash and go to town.
