Default KODIAK 2000 400 Ultramatic

Should there be "play" in the steering column ??????the handle bars move about 1/2 inch before starting to turn wheels. I am trying to get all the kinks out of this machine before winter really comes........thanks in advance to antone who cam help me .....................Ron Elstone

Default KODIAK 2000 400 Ultramatic

If I remember, they have a steering bushing that seems to wear. If you find an exploded view of the steering column, you'll see what I mean.

Thanks..........I just bought this machine,,,,,,,,,,,it seams to be what I need for around my hobby farm ........but unless you can afford a new one.they all come with some wear

If its used, make sure the tie rods are tight. They can cause slop in the steering as well.
