I have one on my Raptor and I am not happy with it so far. I ride at Dumont dunes and Glamis and it lets sand get by. You have to oil the S**t out of it to get any decent filtering. I am going to put the stock air filter back on. Anyone interested in my pro filter system? I bought a new air box, so I'll be gettng rid of the whole nine yards. Air box, lid, and filter system. There is also a very noticeable, momentary bog(i.e. hesitation) when accelerating hard from about 1/4 throttle or running hard through the gears. There is a hesitation between gears. I am running 25 pilots and 145, 150 mains with the needles raised one clip. Stock pipe. I was much happier with the stock setup.

Try running an outerwear. I run a Pro-Flo on a Banshee and it works graet at the dunes. You do have to clean the filter often because fine grit will eventually work its way through. I think you're foolin' yourself if you think the POS stock filter does a better job.

I talked with Tom at Pro Design today and he wants to look my Raptor. He's about 20min. from me so I am taking it over there before I sell anything. He doesn't sound too happy about the design either. He said he was rushed by too many customers to get the product out the door. To quote him he said he has gotten f****d on this deal. The mounting flange is a long oval shape and the hose clamp puts most of its pressure on the ends (sides) and not on the top and bottom. This is where it appears to be leaking from. Tom tentatively agrees with me and that is why he wants to look at it.

I agree with Sik Banshee. I run the pro design setup with a outerwear also. I have ridden in some pretty dusty environments with this setup.
I have not any leak problems.

As far as Pro Design putting a bad design out the door because of customer pressure, my heart bleeds for them. I bet they weren't crying when they spent my money.

Maynard,

I too have sand in my runners...but it's from the lack of seating on the front edge of the stock system...don't think I have a choice but to go with the Pro-Design. I understand K&Ns (on other ATVs, not the Raptor) without a prefilter sock are even worse. Tell me if you know an alternative. Update us on Tom's response...later.
