Everythings holding up good so far. There are Warriors out there that still have the old FST 500 kit and have been running good for years.

I dont think fst still offers the 500 but im not completely sure I dont see the 500 on their website.

check out www.fourstroketech.net and look at their engine products.

I hear FST doesn't do the 500 anymore. They used to take a Kodiak 400 jug and cylinder and punch it out to 500cc and put it on the Warrior bottom end. My local shop has a '98 Warrior for sale right now for $2000 that has the FST 500 kit in it, but it is leaking oil out of every gasket it has, I guess from having so much compression plus the 500 was installed years ago.

I dont think I would go quite to the 500 range, i would probably go with the 446 or the 435 due to reliability reasons(and the battery you would need to upgrade to turn that 500 over is like 100.00 or more

Yeah there is a reason they don't do the 500 anymore. When you max your engine out like that reliability goes down the toilet. The 446 is hard enough on the rest of the engine as it is.

When you talk to mickey at FST tell him you want the specs in the box, he forgot mine and I never got the specs sheet, but I did call him for most of the information(unfortunatly not all of it so the machine shop had to do some extra guess work to get the 488 into my bike.

Mine did come with all of the specs so there was not a problem at the machine shop. The windage tray is what has to be machined down to clear the crank in the bottom of the cases and of course the cases have to be bored, jug has to be bored and the new cylinder pressed in and that has to be bored for the piston.
