Default 435cc/446cc Big bore kit and diffrent plastics?

Hi,
i just got a 95 Yamaha warrior,i was thinking about the 446 big bore kit,how much HP will i gain with the kit?
do i need to change any thing when i put on the kit?(camshaft, valve springs and such?)
and will the new raptor 350 plastics fit on the warrior, meaning is it the same frame?
thanks.

NOT SURE ABOUT the plastic but i know either maier or full bore makes some plastic's made for warrior looks like yfz plastic's to me it really look's better than the rap 350 plastic.and as for the 446 stock horse power is 18-20 with the 446 these are ruff number's but it will be between 28-40 HP depending on the extent of the work and how well it's done..

I like the real Raptor 350 plastics better, too and the Raptor 350 plastic will fit the Warrior frame, but you will need to weld tabs on the Warrior frame for everything to bolt to. You will also need a new battery, gas tank, headlights and brackets, muffler, wheelie bar, front bumper............. I started off with the Raptor plastics on my Warrior frame but I ended up just buying a Raptor 350 frame and installing all my Warrior parts. You could install the 446 without any more changes to the cam, but to gain full potential you need a good cam. You will have to machine the engine cases for clearance of the cylinder and crank. You can expect to spend about $1400 just to get the 446 kit in and working and thats if you do most of the work yourself. What mods do you have now?

The frame itself is identical, but NONE of the tabs are there. All four gas tank tabs would have to be fabricated, the front fender brackets are not there. The rear fenders will bolt right up, but some of the rear fender brackets are made into the wheelie bar, and the Raptor wheelie bar will not fit the Warrior frame. The lower fender brackets are different and you would need a new seat, too. It's really not worth all of the trouble. I'm probably the only idiot who actually spent all of the time and money to do it.

i saw those maier plastics there nice but the raptor are better, but i think ill go with the maier plastics.
about the 446 kit,do i need to split the cases to machine the clearance?
and how much of a hp gain is really there?

to do it right you will need to split the cases, plus I think 446 is a stroker kit isnt it? If so then yes to even swap the crank out you need to split the cases.

Thanks. I say it isn't worth it because I can get a nice '05 Raptor 350 right now for $1500. I probably have that much just in shipping charges from E-bay! The 446 is a stroker, +10mm to be exact which is a lot. If you go with the 446 you will have to split the cases and have the cases machined to fit the new cylinder and crank, so you will have a new engine except for the transmission. You could epect to pay at least $350 in machine shop fees and have at least a 2 week turn around, because you have to send in your crank for a core. I don't know how much of a mechanic you are, but if you could at least pull the engine out and tear the engine down to the bottom end and let someone else split the cases you could save yourself a lot of money. I don't do case splitting and my shop only charged $140 to split them and install the new crank, cylinder & piston. You would benifit a whole lot with a new cam with or without the 446 kit. I would say get the .430" from Webcam without the 446 or go with the Powroll cam (it has more duration than the Webcam) if you do get the 446.
