Mine seems to do OK in the mud considering it doesnt have mud tires from the factory. The underSeatStorage is just big enough for a large gatorade bottle and a pack of smokes.

I' bought the girlfriend a 07 wolvy 450 in the spring. I ride sport quad but we do ride with big 4x4's sometimes. I can get my sport quad through anything i've come across on the trail, and the wolvy does it and she stays much cleanier/dryer. I don't go looking for mud holes usually take the "go around" on the sport but she has taken some pretty big ones and I've had to go in and work it out as she is small and hasn't yet figured out how to rock it to get traction to get out of the hole. Have seen the big 4x's "playin" in the mud pits, as we tend to just try to get through them. Just put a warn XT15 winch on for safety as she buried it pretty good an it's a lot heavier than a sport that you can kind of pick up and out of the mud. I figured the winch may come in handy as this is her first quad. All in all though the wolvy has treated us great, 200+ miles and no complaints/breakdowns, except the dreaded squaky rear brakes.

I bought an 07 Wolverine about three weeks ago...and after 83 miles in nothing but mud, creeks, hills like you wouldn't believe, crossing streams with strong currents, etc... It is a blast! Great all wheel drive unit with a sport edge. I enjoy riding my Honda Rincon 650 and then jumping on the Wolverine. It's so much easier to steer and whip out the rear end in two wheel drive. Two wheel drive will just about get thru everything I pass thru, but there are many times where the 4 wheel drive is a luxury and a necessity.
I am absolutely loving the Wolverine. If it came in a 600 or 700, I'd be even happier.

steveio reguarding the squeaky rear brakes go to yamaha and complain maybe they will give you a price break on a set of ebc rear pads, they shut mine up immediatly.

I love the wolvy with 400 miles on mine I have had it up to the handlebars in water with no problem, hills easy up and down. No real problems at all.
