Love my 98 big bear; will take it anywhere any other bike will go. Have tried a few and will tell you my opinion of each

It appears half my message disappeared!? Probably buried in some of this f*%# white crap that's been fallen for 40 days. So here goes
Cobra exhaust: a little loud, but I like it. Small increase in power, enough for what i was after. Good fit for other mods below. Hint, order the chrome model, paint just peeled of black one, and order a spare headpipe/tailpipe flexible gasket( or whatever you want to call it) because I destroyed mine installing new tailpipe
K n N filter kit: This should be your first mod.Good improvement in power when coupled with exhaust system.Anything to improve air/exhaust flow is your best bang for the buck.Because we do a lot of mudding up here and long trail rides or both, I was after some improved top end. In order do this i increased the diameter of the tires but was worried that the 350 wouldn't turn them in the mud. The low-end power improvements from the exhaust and air filter overcame any problems I was worried about, and increased my ground clearance.
26" ITP Blackwaters: Another great improvement. Gave me a few kicks in the top end and they grip like sh*& to a wool mit.
NOTE: I didn't have to rejet; depending on your conditions you may want to consider it.
Be cautious: my motor breathes wwell enough now to grenade itself, but it kicks butt.

hey thanks for the reply,i probably will rejet the carb, but i feel more confident that the exhuast system will work with the big tires if it works on the 350, it should be good on a 400.
