I probably willl eventually. For now since its a christmas present I am just gonna ask for the guards and the mounting kit. Then I will buy the bark busters and the extensions to protect my hands even more.

I had bark busters on my yz250f and got a bad hand injury when I wiped out,Some love them, others think they are dangerous in a bad crash..I use handguards for limbs and wind/cold,but will never use barkbusters again..

What happened to your hand? the bark busters?
I always had bark busters in my dirtbikes.. saved my hands many many times...
Curious to know if you don't mind sharing

came up short on a large double went into the front side of the landing hill front tire first,The impact forced my hand off the grip and jammed it in between the barkbuster and handle bar..diden't break but caused all kinds to hand issues that kept me off the bike the whole summer..I can see the same thing happen on a quad if you hit a suddon stop accident and get edjected..You will never see motor x riders use them at all(bikes anyway)Now some Hare Scramble riders use them, but that is what they are made for..riding super tight trails or trail blazing, where there is no trail, those guys dont jump much..(those guys are nuts anyway IMO lol)But if you plan on track riding(jumping etc..) or riding hard on tight trails,I would not recomend them at all..Now the guards are a good thing for both bikes and quads, they keep you dry, block the wind and in a crash, your hand will break them away..
