Slippage help
#1
All of sudden my 06 grizzly started slipping when the transmission shifts to the higher gear. This happens in either range. All the fuids have been regularly checked and changed.
Can anyone give a suggestion. Is something out of adjustment or is a clutch bad?

Has the motor been swamped? Did water enter the belt case? I think the side cover will have to come off, and the belt and pulleys need to be looked at. If theres water or mud in there, then clean and regrease the primary weights, because they probably are full of grit.

Yep hondbuster has it right, check the clutch primary to make sure it has grease in it, I have slung it out before on my wolvy and it slipps at top speed,(you need yamaha grizzgrease to repack it) Also see if you have any water inside, there should be a drain on the clutch housing.

Thanks everybody. When I get back down to farm this weekend I will check these items out. I can't beleive there is water in the case. We have not had any rain so everything at the farm as been extremely dry.
I will check all the items suggested and advise.
Again thanks for the help
