start with a cam, exhaust, filter and jet kit, also you could change the sprocket for either higher top end speed or more low end power.

Yep, I would get these in this order: slip-on exhaust (HMF is great for the Warrior for $200), filter and jet kit, 14 tooth front sprocket and some lightweight rear 20" tires (like the Holeshot GNCC) and you will feel like you own a new bike. Those balloon rear tires suck for anything except giving you ground clearance for going through mud and going over obsticles.

How are you spendign $900 on a starter repair?

Mine is an 87 so you may have better suspension but if its not by far than I would replace the shocks first. I can ride mine twice as fast now.

Yeah, first get rid of those horid tires, and put on some new shocks. Then you should be looking into performance.

Warriors dont hold their value real well unless you love the all lowend power of the warrior I would sell it and get a Banshee or something.

That is a complete matter of opinion. I know many people who have owned Warriors for years and years, simply because that motor is bullet proof. The Warrior is a great trail bike, especially with a little bit of money into the suspension; thanks to the bottem end.

I agree it is a matter of oppion thats why I said if you love all lowend torque get a builder to port the head new cam new pipe, they probably make a bigbore kit. My oppion on the matter is all lowend power gets rather boring espically when there are so many machines that have a much broader powerband like the YFZ450

Here is what I would do, but what you are wanting to spend would help.

1) Get a K&N Air Filter, drill holes in the airbox lid and put a screen in the lid to keep mud out.
2) Get an HMF Slip-On pipe
3) Go up a tooth to a 14 tooth front sprocket
4) Web CamShafts .430" lift cam, with new valve springs
5) Go to .040" over or .080" over on the cylinder and go with a Wiseco or JE 10.25:1 Piston
6) Port and Polish Job on the head (get someone to do this who has already messed with a Warrior and you will NOT be dissapointed)

That is in a relatively decent order, in terms of ease of doing and what not. I just recently did all of that to my Warrior and more and it runs like a raped ape. You by no means need to do it all at once, just do not forget to jet and rejet and make sure you are not running lean. You run lean, and that motor goes to hell in heartbeat. However, that suspension also will need some upgrading if you are looking for some serious riding. To keep it cheaper, go with some Banshee front shocks, and perhaps some +2 A Arms. Ah, and yes, CHANGE THOSE TIRES!!!!

Also, I am installing a +4 degree timing advance key in mine and I will let you know how that goes in my thread, which also may contain a lot of information which could help you make decisions on where you want to go with your bike performance wise. http://forums.atvconnection.co...31002/STARTPAGE/4.cfm

Good luck bro!
