Default air/fuel mixture screw????????

Start your quad up and warm it up real good. Turn the mixture screw in and then out to achieve the highest idle speed. Then take it about 1/8 of a turn out.
Take it out for a ride. When coming down from a high RPM if it pops out the exhaust your need to adjust out about an 1/8 at a time until it stops popping out the exhaust. You have just set your idle mixture.

It sounds lean to me on over-all mixture. "IF" this is the case you need to fatten up the main jet.

I would.

"i did notice that it does pop out of the exausht if i hit the throttle quick a few times. "

That's called a lean pop through.

No, the only thing the screw does is the "IDLE" mixture.
The needle controls mixture from off idle to around mid range.
The main jet is top end. All in all, the main jet controls over-all mixture from off idle to top end. The needle is a fine tunning aid around mid range.

BTW: Merry Christmas everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
