Raptor Pipe Question
#1
I was just wondering how many of you out there have the White Brothers pipe for the Raptor? I think I was looking at the E series? Im not sure now. I dont think they look too bad I was wondering about the gains/performance? Anyone know anything about SuperTrapp? Whats up with them!? My friends dad is a mechanic for nationals setup's on quads. And he seem's to favor SuperTrapp and White Brothers heavily. Any help on that White Brothers pipe would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

i would go with the white bros for any 4 stroke that is what i ride on my raptor it seems the throtle response is a lot better. as far as horse power i myself dont look at the horsepower numbers companies put out. you have to remember the are companies and are still trying to sell thiere product. both exausts are really good but i can speak for the e series. the sound is great it wount make you deaf sitting beside it, but you can sure hear it echo threw the woods

Thanks guys =-) I was just wondering if you could go into the performance gains a little more in depth? How is the top and bottom? Is the mid range still strong? Im really leaning towards the White Brothers or SuperTrapp but SuperTrapp doesnt have one out yet. Do you guys have a picture of a Raptor with the R4? Im trying to figure out if there is any real change besides sound =-) Im not expecting any kind of HP numbers or anything im just wondering about how others "feel" the bike does. Thanks again for all your help!

i have herd some people stay away from the r series and stick with the e. because the r does not put out as much power. the biggerst difference with the e series when i put it on was the throttle response it seem to give it an all around better power especialy in the low and mid ranges i have not tried the top because the roads are just to wet and snow covered to open it up. and you dont have to hold the throtle wide open to feal the response in power like before. i am 6'2 210 and sitting on the gas tank i can feel the front wheels wanting to pull up in first and second.as before i had to sit on the back of the quad to pull it off the ground like my old 350 yamaha. hope some of this helps

I installed the (E-SERIES) PIPE ON MY RAPTOR A FEW WEEKS AGO. 14 FILTERS, LOVE THE MEAN SOUND THAT THE RAPTOR PUTS OUT AND THE ADDED POWER. ONE STRONG QUAD!!!!!!!!!!!!. Did all the homework about the different pipes, found the(E-SERIES) WAS THE BEST. (NOOOO CARB JETTING).

I had an E series and big gun slip ons' on both my 400exs. I dragged raced w/ my brother on the street same mods, same gearing, same weight, although the e series 400ex had a w.b. rev box.The Big Gun 400ex won every time time after time. The biggest difference was off the start. We did second gear roll ons' so wheelying wouldn't be a factor of our unbiased test. Our conclusion was the Big Gun is much more responsive. The White Bros. just didn't pull as hard. The E series quad even had a jet kit in it. I sold my E series silencer on ebay and bought a Big Gun. Bikes owned in the last 15 yrs 72, current quads are 400exs' and Raptors.

Well thanks everyone for the input! Ive came down to the E-Series but I also like the idea of the GYT-R Carbon Fiber. I dont really wanna sacrifice a part of my powerband just a small increase all the way through the band. Im more refering to those with discs when I say this. I'll let you know what my decision is. For some reason I keep leaning more towards the Carbon Fiber? I talked to a friend about those Big Gun exhausts. The only thing he had to say about the 400ex test you did was that the Big Gun WITH the new brain box does wonders for that bike and its no wonder it won the E-series bike over. =-) Just another persons view. Anyways please dont take offense to that. Oh and the person that was interested in the Handguards if you want I could e-mail you a picture of what they look like if you want? Thye are just Plain UFO "Explorer" Handguards I picked them out of a parts magazine at my dealer. I already had a pair for my Wolverine and they are a universal fit. My dad has them on his Grizzly, I put some on my Wolverine, and now my Raptor. Lemme know if you wanna see that pic =-) Thanks again everyone

Foxrunner, let me know how you like the e-series on your raptor. I have the e-series on my warrior, but the r4 on my raptor(I use them for different things). I'm curious how the raptor would perform with more torque. The r4 just gives you ponies, but no torque.
