well the plastic and seat are crap, the tranny is good the handlebars and all the swiches are good, the back tires are probably 80% and fronts about 10%, all rims are good. good shaft and differential, electric and pull start are bad (we had to push start it every time). just ask me and il take a look at it.

My freind has a 350 not sure what year. Goes through mud great and an excellent quad for his girlfreind to ride.

Default Yamaha Moto 4

What size? I had an 86 Moto-4 225(gave to my brother), my sister has an 88 Moto-4 200, and we have another one just like it for spare parts. They were solid machines, and really fun. I wrecked mine to many times to count though lol.

Default Yamaha Moto 4

Put it in first gear then pull to the range you want. If it seams to be hard so shift. Pull back on the lever and then shift to first gear. It always works.

Default Yamaha Moto 4

I had a 87 (I think) 250 (229cc) moto 4 red 2wd and it had a low range option. Did all Moto 4s have the low range sub tranny?

Now Yamaha does not even offer low range on the larger 350 4x4 Grizzly and 400 Big Bear. go figger.

i got a 89 250 moto4 and a 86 225 moto4 the 250s got chunks blown off the piston skirt, connecting rod has play, burns a quart a day easy, smokes like a grass fire, valves tick and have hit the piston so many times they have indents, it knocks when its cold, clutch is half burned out, ran the rear diff out of oil blew a bearing and put a new one in and its been runnin since.
