Grizzly 700 exhaust?
I have seen on ebay these 2" muffler tips. They use the same 3 screws and just change the opening on the muffler from 1" to 2". Has anyone used this or is there some reason not to. I asked the dealer and they said it would be fine. It will just change the sound, which is what I am looking for.

Why mess with a good thing. The 700 and I suppose the 450 also are borderline too lean from factory and will run better with slightly richer fuel mapping. The 700 will run a little hotter and leaner with this less restrictive exhaust. I remember years ago dealers were selling supertrap slipon's for XL600s and with advice that rejetting was not required. Most of these came back into dealer for a valve job and more profit for dealer. So don't trust anyone who stands to make a buck off your decision.

Grizzly 700 exhaust?
OK thanks
These are our first ATV's and I am not crazy about the pop pop sound of the exhaust but I dont want to cause a problem down the road. I almost bought the Can Am just for the sound. I know it is totally diferent being a twin, but I liked the sound. I think I got a better machine and saved a lot of money.

Dude... you won't have a problem. It's called a Power Tip. I've got one on my 450.
Here it is. My brother-in-law put the sme one on his silver 700 Grizzly. All it does is change the tune of the exhaust.
But if you search the forum a bit like a page or two back there are a nuber of threads where this topic pops up.
I love mine, with the money I saved on an exhaust I bought an EPI clutch kit and got the wheelie poppin'fun I wanted and a Power Tip for the grumbly exhaust.

P.S. That 700 of my brother-in-laws sounds wicked with the Power Tip.
It really made the bike come alive sound wise. Just like a pipe at a fraction of the cost.
2rraccing... check it out on the web. That's where I got mine from, attention to detail is key with me and the machine screws they give you to replace the stock ones are flush mount and they really make a quality product.
Also when you call the ph# you talk to a real person and even though it took some time to receive it in Ontario they did ship it to my doorstep.

Yeah... you'll like it there camo Tim. The ony problem you might encounter is on the 700 not the 450 where the exhaust is a little close to the plastic by the tail light. Make sure you put the slanted side down because it gets hot with 700 cc's of rip roarin' power breathin' through a 2" hole. It might singe the plastic a bit.
