I thought that the 96 Warrior was supposed to be a 6-speed tranny????????

I'm only shifting through 5 gears.

It is a 6 speed. Evidently you have some tranny or shift fork problems.

They only have 5 forward gears, 1 down 4 up. But they do have a reverse gear so technically they do have 6 speeds.

Pretty sure they have 6 gears. My 87 definitely does. 1 down 5 up. Maybe your not using the 1 down. Mine makes so much torque I rarely use first gear. Sometimes simple things will cause a shifting problem. My freind told me first gear was "blown out" on his ATC250R. I took a look and found right off the shifter had slipped and was hitting the frame so it couldnt go far enough down to get in first gear.

What have you been smokin??

All Warriors and Raptor 350's have 6 speed transmissions. I down, EDIT: FIVE up. Nothing's changed since '87.

Not sure but does that not add up to 5?

The funny thing is, I never really took note.....as I go through the imaginary gears with my left foot, with a little sound effects tossed in as I sit at my deck at work.......I want to say 1 down, 4 up plus reverse = 6. Now the kid that has the cube outside of my office is looking at me wondering what the heck is that guy doing in there

I'll bet both nuts and my Warrior itself all Warriors have a 6 speed (1 down, 5 up). If you don't have sixth you've got a problem.

If you add reverse that would be a 7 speed!
