Bash,
The only tumble I've had was a backwards end-over-end from a hill climb. I moved my steering support back far enough to cause the also bent handlebars to rub the top of my tank. Since I didn't want to get into swapping steering stems, I took a chance on wrapping a rachet strap around the centermount and a tree and bending both the stem and stem support (part of the frame-weak part I might add) back out. Worked great. The only other bends I found were later when I saw the bike in the rear view of my truck and realized one front fender was "limp"...I had to pull the fairing support outward sending the fender back up. As far as mainframe, can't see any damage, but if it doesn't steer funny or seem in a bind, I don't think it's worth worrying about...seems like every banshee that rides with me has some quirp...left bar down, skeg up, pulls one way...you know the drill...RIDE OUT!

my frame was really bent up at the top near the bushing for the stem. i think i could have fixed that by cutting it off and making a new piece and welding it on. the problem was that the whole thing was slightly tweaked. i don't own a frame table to bend it back. i wanna say that the frame complete was only about 750.00. the whole job ended up costing the insurance company about 4500.00. frame all new plastic, stem, bars, rear rotor, rims, radiator, seat and cover, lights, grab bar, and a whole bunch of little stuff. thank god i had insurance. i dont know why the ins company didnt total it out. It's no big deal though. The quad actually came out better then new. big gun exhaust, renthal fat bars, prm grab bar, stuff like that. most aftermarket stuff is cheaper then any yamaha oem. i priced the lonestar frame at the time it was to much money to get it on the ins claim. after the dealership put the pipe on they even jetted it. i really have no complaints about that.
i do however think the frame is way weaker then my 400 frame it took about the same crash once and it only slightly bent the front bumber.
