Trying to decide on new ATV

Yamaha Wolverine 450
You will love this bike...
"Do they really ride like a sport bike but with the advantage of 4x4 in the mud?"
Yes... If you are not going into 3 feet + of mud... I ride in med mud and it can handle it's own... The bike is great climbing hills, great on trails, and looks better (to me)... I let a friend ride mine (he has a 2002 Polaris 500) and he loved it... I rode his and didn't like it as much as my bike... His was smoother to ride but I stand 90% of the time so no big deal...
The bike stock needs a little on the lower end but a K&N air filter, clutch kit and rejeting (all easy to do) fixes that... I haven't done them yet because it's really not a 100% must do...
The more I ride it the more I like it...
I'm 6' 1" and 215lbs and the bike is fine to me but your size may differ...
Hope this helps...

The Kawasaki 650 SRA will destroy the Grizz 450 at everything easily and costs about the same. </end quote></div>
Your not really comparing apples with apples.
I would expect a 650 to destroy a 450 in the power department. Probably more fitting comparison may be the 660 Grizz.

Don't know about witch is more prone but I would bet the Wolverine is the less likely... look at my pictures and see #3... That hill isn't small... I have a picture of me at the bottom of the hill so you can see how steep it is. I'll see if I can get it uploaded...

Sounds like u stuck between a rock and a hard place. A Kaw or a Yam dont buy either. No just kidding all I can say call every dealer and get the out the door price some dealers mark these machines up way to much. And also ask around about how good these dealers are on serviceing the machines they are selling. You need to get fuel injected dont buy old technolgy I have a king quad 700 really not happy with it I am buying a canam renegade 800 need a little more sporty feel in the woods the King quad feels like a tank I aint out riding logging roads. Look at every model and bunches of dealers and keep posting on here u get alot of good feedback

I compared his choices...but you are right the 650 is more comparable to a 700 grizz. I'd still take the 650 over the 700fi grizz.

bf650sra over a 700 griz w/ IRS and EPS?
To each their own I guess...
Tag, usually you can take your bike to any of the dealerships to get fixed. (most people here take theirs to the yami dealer even though they have suzi's and honda's because the cust. service dept. is 10 times better)
You need to write down your wants and needs... Check to see which bike fits the profile closest... Be sure to test ride them all as well...

Ok in that case since the Grizz 660 is the closest I see compared to the brute 650 or 650I How does it compare to those 2.
One thing i have just noticed about the grizz is you can switch between 4wheel and 2 wheel without stopping. Am I correct in saying you have to stop the brute before switching?
Is this even a issue that adds value to one over the other?
Thanks for all your input so far guys!

if your gonna get a 660..you might as well get a 700
That is the game they (ATV manufactuers play)
you can get a 350 for X a 450 for a little more a 660 for a little more and a 700 for a little more..when your spending 6k whats another 2 more
all joking aside the 660 is a solid quad. you will be happy with it, but just remember, as humans we will always ask 'what and if'
So if you end up buying a 660 you will probably ask yourself down the road
'what if I got a 700'
