Rhino targeted by law firm
#11
That is pretty bad about the Rhino being targeted, my girlfriends cousin has a Razr. Her dad was driving it one day, and just went to turn around quick and rolled it! Is it cause for legal action? F**K no!!! Seems to me like you sit your *** in that seat, you assume responisiblity. If you don't realize the risk, that is just plain ignorance, and that is NOOOOO kind of excuse. Have you ever seen a car manufacturer get sued because someone got thrown out of a convertible in an accident? I should hope not, it was their dumbass idea to be in the convertible without a seat belt on in the first place. end rant]
This coming election should be interesting, depending on how it goes, we could be seriously fawked in this sport.

Seems this topic is gaining interest...
Got this link from another ATV site...

I've seen this law firm advertise in Ohio, class action law-suits. You know the ones where the plantiff gets like $20k in damages, and the law firm gets millions.

I agreed 100%. A family member is a partner in a big name law firm. He's a product liability guy and one of his client's is a manufacturer of motorcyles, ATV's, watercrafts, snowmobiles, etc. I can't believe the facts around some of the cases that are brought against his client...he's pretty closed mouth about the cases, even with me (which I understand), but I'm able to get enough of the picture.. What do you know, most are the result of major operator error. Don't even ask about the cases that are brought against the other client that he's a consult partner on....a firearms manufacturer.

That law firm advertises on tv here in Dallas. Just saw one from him last night about farming. Pretty sure there isn't anybody this guy wouldn't sue.

Now to make matters worse for the SxS industry, pro racer Daryl Rath was recently involved in an accident with a Polaris RZR in which another rider on a sport quad was killed when they collided riding on a frozen river near where I live. Daryl was airlifted to a hospital where he was treated for a broken arm, dislocated elbow, and serious bruises. A sad day for us all when a fellow rider falls while enjoying his sport. Sadder still will be that I'm sure the lawyers will fall on this like hyenas on a carcass, not caring what happens to those involved, just seeing dollar signs.

Yea I've seen this ad on tv too. My sister wrecked our rhino without her seat belt on. (she wasn't thinking) rolled it 3 times doing 40mph and broke both shoulder blades, punctured her lung, bruised her heart and broke her femur. Doctor bills are added up to +$200,000 but were not going to go on this suing frenzy, were just happy shes alive and knows to wear her seat belt from now on. She riding the rhino again and knows its the responsibility of the driver to be careful, on any machine including cars.
