Warrior Issues
#1
My girlfriends warrior runs great until you get it to about 1/2 throttle then it wants to sputter and backfire. Its a 1989, and its 100% stock. I took the carb apart and cleaned it. It didn't help any. Any help would be appreciated.

9 times out of 10 your main jet is stopped up. If you didn't actually remove the main and blow it out then that's probably what you need to do.

yea i agree, most of the time if you just spray carb cleaner in the carb itself with out taking the jets out and spraying carb cleaner through them your not doing yourself any good.
like raptor450 said, take the main and pilot out and spray carb cleaner through them until you can see through the hole.

Usually if the parking brake is screwed up it will only run fine at idle. The parking brake would cause it to idle fine, then as soon as you barely touch the gas it will start to spit/sputter and die out.

I tried cleaning the main jet and it didn't help. How many turns out is the air fuel screw supposed to be, and its not stock, i forgot it has a K&N with holes in the air box lid. Its running the stock main jet though. would that be my problem.
