best quad 2 drag!!!
IF you plan on modding I went with a '05 660R, added a 4ml stroker(720cc),11:1 piston, ported head, matching cam, jetting and exhaust. It still blazes the trails like a champ and dips in the 7's(7.91) on asphault in the 1/8 mile(front end strapped on good tires). I'm sure there are better bikes out there but it fit my needs.

if you look at the new ltr 450 and the kfx 450 they are fuel injected. the 700 raptor is also efi. that means when you throw a pipe filter or anything of the sort you dont have to deal with a carb. problem the EFI does the jetting for you. The banshee is a really quick bike probably the fastest stock bike you can get. but they no longer make new 2 strokes srry. i would go with the fuel injection(EFI)
The ltr/Kfx 450 are great for the track when they are stock, they are really wide and light weight. the 700R is heavy but really quick.</end quote></div>
just to let you know a raptor 700 and 450s will beat shee stock vs stock. and it was a real suprise to me 2 see the raptor 700 is only 10lb heavyier than the shee dry wieght. and the yfz450 claimed dry wieght is only 350 36 lb less than the shee.
btw i think it is alot cheaper to get hp out of the 700 than the 660. for about 1000 you can make 54 hp with the raptor. make in the mid 60s on pump gas for less than 2k.
the shee can make alot of power cheap also. just with toomy t-5s intake v force reeds it will be hauling *** also.

but if you want a pure drag racer i whould have to say to pick up a shee. the raptor and some other four strokes are making good power with only 2k into them but the starting out price is going to be alot higher. where you can pick up a shee for 2k you are going to be looking at 4k+ for the 450s and about 5k for a raptor 700.

you can't just "throw a pipe" on a fuel injected quad. it's true that you don't have to deal with a carb but an EFI does not adjust to modifications...need to buy an efi controller of power commander to change maps.

AND TO SAY A LIL SOMETHING ABOUT WHAT ich4bdm SAID U CANT JUST THROW A PIPE ON ONE?? WHY CANT U THE COMPUTER ON THE RAPTOR IS SMARTER THEN U THINK... BUT TO RUN AT POTENTIAL ITS BEST TO DYNO IT.. OR GET THE NEW TYPE OF POWER COMMANDER IT CALLED PIAZZA OR SOMETHING ITS FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY BUT HAS SELF MAPPING SOFTWARE SO U DONT EVER HAVE TO PAY A DYNO FEE AGAIN U HOOK A LABTOP UP TO IT AFTER A FEW RUNS AND IT HELP U PICK THE IDEAL SETTIN

I agree. you can't just throw a pipe and such on a fuel injected bike without a different fuel map. the ecu isn't as "smart" as you may think. for one, for an ecu to be able to adapt to that much more airflow, it'll need either a mass air meter or at the very least, an o2 sensor and last I checked, none of them had any. they are a little forgiving when you change altitudes, but that's about it. also, please turn off the caps. in proper forum speak, all caps is the same as yelling. thanks
