I'm thinking Lonestar. I've saw a Durablue snap before. DB has a lifetime warranty, but it's only good for one break. Lonestar is said to have unbeatable quality and to stand behind their lifetime warranty. Price difference is about $40-$50.

I am currently waiting on my warranty Dura-Blue axle. Snapped it in half on my Raptor. I have actually been waiting more than 3 weeks for my replacement axle. The dude at dura-blue is telling me they are out of stock?????. I would go with Lonestar if I had to do it over agian. Just my two cents. Oh by the way, I was one of the first guy's to bend the stock axle.... three times. You would think they would be a little more durable.

Paul,

Here's a tip for you. The newest shipments of the Lonestar Raptor axles use your stock lock nuts. The early shipments were a little rushed, so instead of cutting the threads shorter, they threw in the Lonestar locking axle nut. You'll have to ask DSeater more about it (he already has his), but if I'm understanding, it's a $77 dollar item that is thrown in free.

I was a little concerned (imagine that) as to whether there was an issue with durability, so I called Lonestar. The tech guy said that if anything, the locking nut setup would be stronger than using the factory locking nuts.

K&K ATV were out of the first shipments, but I called Nac's and they had at least one of the older ones with the locking nut. They may even have more.

Just thought you might want to know.

Thank you all

I am in a catch 22 situation because i live in South Africa ( no aftermarket dealers )
Dura Blue has only one agent here and they sell the axles for $600.00 us .
I found Lonestar axles on the web but with shipping and taxes it will cost me $1000.00 us.

What do i do ?

ps--- I had my stock axle fixed but dont trust it anymore.

I hear you Paul

I also live in South Africa, and there is just no aftermarket selection here. I want to put a Big Gun exhaust on my raptor. Guess Im going to have to get it imported. You can get an FMF pipe here, but apparently it doesnt improve the performance much. I looked at nerf bars, even they are way too expensive. The rand/dollar exchange is screwing us.

Hi McFly

I got a Kitima slip-on from Shimwells Yamaha ,makes more power than a FMF.R 2000.00
I got the IMS tank and nervebars from JHB Yamaha.R3900.00
I got the PRM front bumper;a-arm skids;full chassis skid;swingarm skid and six-pack rack direct from PRM.R4600.00
I got the rental bar from JHB Yamaha.R460.00
I got the beadlock rims from Linex Yamaha ( about a year ago ).+/- R6000.00
wheel spacers R400.00
shockwears from JHB Yamaha. R400.00
flag from Linex Yamaha. R240.00

When you add all + the prize of the bike x the rand/dollar rate , you see how lucky the people in the states are.

R18000.00 + R65300.00 = R83300.00
R83300.00 / 7.82 = 10652.00 dollar us.

(I could have bought a house)

Your bike looks awesome. Love the DS eater sticker. I have just bought a house, so the bike is going to have to stay stock for a while longer (other than my rear tyres - Maxxis - from Linex)
Check out my web site www.quadzone.co.za

Damn these Americans are lucky. Lots easier on their pockets. But hey, Africa's the place to ride!
