I have an 03 raptor 660 and noticed today while starting it the starter seemed to run on after the motor was running. sounded like a gear still engaged. After several restarts it stopped. can someone tell me what type of problem I have? Do I need to replace the starter?

 

Could be the one way starter clutch didn't disengage and it was still turning the starter after the enging was running. May have freed up after a couple of starts

 

I thought it might be the one way so today I ordered a l&a kit for it. Hope this is the problem. They don't give those things away
