Does any one know what it means when the air and fuel mix screw is leaking gas when you wipe your finger on it? It is not a hard leak where it is leaving gas res on the engine. It just leaks when you put your finger up to it.

Should I replace the hole air and fuel screw kit, I talked with local dealer and he said they only sell the kit.. Have you heard of any other place I can get just the seal? Thanks..

take it out and go to your local auot parts store and find one that fits, should only cost like $.12 plus tax for rubber o-ring or you can buy a bundle for less than $5.00 incase you buy the wrong one and have to make a trip back.

I've had my share of fine tuning and would like to share my experiences from my 02 warrior with stock motor. When I got it it had stock jetting but k&n no lid and fmf ti 4 were present. It would surge at mid throttle and engine would warm my leg up but ran good. that was two yrs ago. I then put in a 45 pilot and 147.5 main and it improoved big time. throtle was very crisp but I always had to turn down the idle when riding. sold the fmf ti4 and got a cobra quiet and went back to stock fetting witch ran fine except on a cold day at full throtle going up hill I could have used a biger main jet cause speed slowed alot duh. also i only weigh 120lbs. never buy a cobra they don't last. i now have an fmf power core iv and it is like having the quitness of the cobra and the flow of the titanium 4.
At 1300 feet I now run a stock pilot stock clip and 150 main and 3 turns out.
I did have the clip at the 5th spot and motor would load up with 45 pilot and 147.5 main still ran good but to rich at mid throttle.
with a 47.5 pilot you waste gas at 1/2 turn out
45 pilot best for winter
42.5 is stock and all i need for summer 3 turns out of course ( I know that fmf website says 1.5 turns but that would be to lean for me.
ok my mods are k&n,outerware,cut lid,fmfpowercoreiv with s/a 150 main 3 turns.

for all of you who gun your throttle in neutral and it cuts out well join the club cause your asking to much from your motor so knock it off. just make sure that boot on your acclerator pumpis not causing it to stay down and not pump, I had that and I got rid of that boot. when motor is warm though its not so bad when you punch the throttle in neutral (i know its frustrating) but you dont ride in neutral. warrior will never be a rocket with perfect throttle response. thanks!

today i put the 45 pilot back in cause i was hitting a lean spot at low throttle with the 42.5 and 3 turns out. carb was coughing but still ran good without any surging at cruising speed.
I removed the spark arrestor from the fmf powercore4 and the outerwear from drop in k&n installed 45 pilot at 2 and a quarter turns. kept 150 main and throttle response is very good even in neutral.

note with k&n I had to carve some of the bottom of the airbox so the filter would go down as far as possible.
have a nice day.

I final got the machine running great... I have a fmf power core 4 with 150 jet and 2.5 turns out on the a/f screw, I keep the dyno jet needle in on the fourth clip. I have big wholes cut in the lid of the air box with k&n filter. The machine starts right up and had a great time in attica bad lands IN over the weekend. I also dropped the tire size to from 22 to 20's which helped alot, I tryed to dropped the front sprocket to a 12 tooth and was very disappointed with it and when back to the stock for more speed.. I am very happy with the modds and working on getting some of the weight off the front.

I have been riding with my friend who has a z400 and told me that the heavy front bummper needs to be replaced to keep the weight down. When I pickup his machine it feel 2x lighter then my in the front end.
I heard that if I go to a 14th tooth that my low end would be crap? is that true..
