What kind of cdi did you get. I have an 08 model and it does the same thing you are talking about. I have read a lot about how the yfz will do 78 or so. not mine. it starts cutting out at 70 or so. feels like the rev limiter, but i have never experienced a rev limiter like this, damn thing cuts out just like you said, its like someone turned the key off for 1 -2 seconds. I guess its probably normal, but the r6 yami I used to ride would hit the limiter and continue to run smooth not act like it wanted to die. I am pretty sure it is the limiter though, given it is a factory programmed part. I am considering the srp adjustable limiter, it allows different settings. we will see. anyone with any advice or knowledge on this part.
