Default 07 yfz ?

I have a quick question. Is there two separate drain plugs for the oil? Also is there two diffrent types of oil I need for both of the capartments.

Yes to one and no to the other

You have a drain on the crankcase and one on the reservoir but they both take the same oil.

Both are 12mm. The Oil Tank takes about 1.64 quarts (1 quart and an extra 605ml), and the crankcase takes .31 quarts (293.4ml)

Anyone have a trick to share? It's a pain in the ars taking that plastic skid plate off the belly to prevent oil from draining all in it.

I replaced my stock plastic skid plates off and replaced them with PRM Aluminum Skids that have a drain hole already drilled in. You can drill your own hole in the stock plastic skids as well.

If you trail ride on your YFZ atleast get a good swing arm skid, and some A arm skids, will save you lots of bucks in the long run..The belly skid does not take impacts like the other two do..

Actually the belly takes just as much punishment depending on the ruts you're riding thru... I would go belly and swinger skids first... and then the a-arms...
