Default warrior starting problems

i have a 1995 warrior pass down. it runs good. has a new battery. when i got it, it used a piece of wire to start it. it was connected to the negitive part of the slinoid or something(someting near the fuses on the rear left side) and i have to rub the other end of the wire on the positive part to start the quad. the start button rearly works. i have checked to see if anything was loose or not connected good but all was normal. is there any other thing i could do or check that could help.

if you have the arm strength...spend 85 bucks on a pull start or 62 dollars on a new switch...buy new cause you might just waste money on a used one...
