I'm looking at both a grizzly and a brute force for a new purchase-- could i get some grizzly 700 owners to share some facts about the pros & cons of the grizzly over the brute-- please no brand bashing-- my type of riding is 60% mud, 30% trail, and 10% sand. I have some 28" outlaw's I'd like to install after break-in.
Thanks!!

I drove the grizzly and brute back to back and I liked the grizzly better, it was like setting on your couch in your living room. I bought the grizzly but I could not afford a new one, it is 01 grizzly and I love it! so happy mud'n

Our family owns Grizzly 700s, and my dad owns a Brute Force 750. They are both fantastic ATVs, and if for some reason I were forced to have one brand, and not the other, I would be happy with either one. But if I were choosing one for myself, it would be the Grizzly 700. My father and I have swapped rides several times, and every time I'm on the Brute Force I can't wait to get back on the Grizzly. Steering and overall handling and stability on the Grizzly are much better, and it has a much more "refined" feel to it. Every trail obstacle, anywhere, no matter what it is, the Grizzly just feels like it gets through it easier than the Brute Force. The Brute Force has more power, and quicker throttle response though, and as far as power goes it is a whole lot of fun to ride. No doubt about it, the Brute Force is a lot faster than the Grizzly. We don't have mud around here, so I can't help you there. We have rocks, so its either dry rocks, or when it rains we have wet rocks, or in the winter time we have snow covered rocks.
The Grizzly 700 won the big bore shootout in Quad Magazine. And the Brute Force 750 won the big bore shootout in ATV Magazine. So its a toss up. Buy from the best dealer, that will treat you the best after the sale.

Dude... here's why... I was in Wyoming hunting and my Kodiak took a 300' tumble down a cliff. Well, 2 days to get it back up and although it's totaled, it runs fine. In fact, it happend last October. I immediately parked it when I got back to Michigan. Well, I brough it out of hybernation in April to start working on it and it fired right up... even after sitting all winter.
This isnt a post about a Griz, but I wouldnt owne anyting but a Yam now... In fact, I have a 700 SRX and I'm convinced that Yam builds bullet proof engines... NOW if I could just find decent used fenders for a 2003 Kodiak... UG!

All i can tell you is from other machines i have driven in the past.. way long time ago to this ... WOW. Im glad i was talked into it, my 08 700 and buddys 07 660 were the last 2 bikes out at the end of the day... the 3 ploaris's we were with all broke/ had problems after being in the water. The stock snorkel on this machine is way up there i had water over the front rack for a wile and didnt get a splash in my intake or belt box. All the vent lines are also handle bar hight, the only down i am thinking cause i have not done it yet would be making a snorkel kit for it.. funny air box and not much room.. Get one and you wont be sorry.. the diff lock is amazing..

If you want speed and power buy the BF. If you want an extremely well rounded ATV that is great on the trail and has excellent steering and handling then get the Grizzly. The grizzly is a very, very good machine. The BF? Not so much. Handling is still sub par and the 4x4 system while great in theory is finicky in my experience. Needs lots of adjustment. The engine is wonderful though. it's as fast as all get out.

Good machine and reliable.
I'm not a Grizz 700 owner but I ride a Kodiak/Grizz 450. I've driven my buddies 700EPS and it's a really good all around machine with lots of torque. The fastest utility quad I've driven is the CanAm 800 LTD. I just don't care for the way it sits or handles and it's too "flashy" for a mud quad. Pricey too. I'm only semi impressed by the BF and I'm not convinced about their diff. lock system. Suzuki's are also a good machine.
I have never been unable to keep up or get through where any other quad goes. And that's on just the 450. It's not as fast as some but it's as capable and more nimble.
