Default clutch issue?

sometimes when I first start up my warrior ('00), even though I have the clutch pulled in, it wants to go. it feels as if the clutch is partially engaged. i have a new clutch cable on it and I've tried different adjustments but no difference. after it warms up a little or after I've ridden it for a while, it doesn't do it at all. should I just go ahead and put in a new clutch or is there something else I'm not adjusting?
on another note, this past sunday, I was out on the trails and put it in reverse. it took a few minutes of moving the lever back and forth before it would come out. is this somewhat normal for a warrior? the outside temp was around 85* and I had been riding for a couple of hours with a few 10 minute breaks in between. is it the temp causing it?

If the clutch only does this on the first start after sitting overnight this is somewhat normal and is caused by the clutch plates sticking together from sitting. I have started my raptor's after a couple of days of sitting and when I put them in gear the clutch plates were so stuck that it has lurched foward and stalled the engine. As for the reverse, I had a warrior and a 350 raptor before and they can get hard to get out of reverse. I would just let the clutch out a little bit while trying to push the lever back to foward. Give that a try next time and see if that works for you

viper5 nailed it. A lot of manual clutch motorcycle engines have that little lurch on first start up. You might be able to minimize that by using the clutch lever a few times before starting up though. Once it is running that issue goes away for the day.

could be the oil your running too, cuasing it to stick at first, if your running striaght 30w or close. As far as the reverse, as they sugested, and it helps if its in gear, or it may have to be in gear, i'm used to it so can't quite remember.

I'm running yamalube in it. 10w40 I believe is the weight. I usually have it in gear when I put it in reverse but this time I didn't.

All the quads I've had, the clutch sticks on the first start of the day. Right from the time they were new. And I run Yamalube in them too
