power steer vs non
fella had one that came up riding with a bunch of us a couple weeks ago,he said it has no advantage in the mud,but was nice for trail riding, and helps a bit in 4 low all locked
if it were me id bore it over and give the 700 griz another year or two to make sure all the bugs are worked out and to be able to take advantage of any improvements as of a result

No problems with either of our Grizzly 700s power steering, with about 2500 miles of use. I also do tough terrain, and one of our Grizzlys has 27" tires on it. However, I think that most of the improvement from the Grizzly 660 to the Grizzly 700 are due to improvements in the chassis design, and weight distribution, and not just due to the addition of power steering. I'm sure the Grizzly 700 without power steering would also be a fantastic ATV. Go ride both of them someplace other than a dealer's parking lot, and see if you think it is worth the extra $500. I do not think it is a negative as far as being something that is failure prone, or needing more maintenance, so I wouldn't let that be what made me choose one Grizzly 700 over the other. Yamaha has already had this power steering out for two years now (the third year model will be out in another three months), and I haven't even heard of anyone having problems from the power steering. How long are you going to wait for them to get the bugs worked out?
