what does A efi controller do and are they expensive?

 

A efi controller will adjust the fuel ratio in fuel injected engines the same way rejetting does with a carb. Depending on what brand you buy they run in the 199.00-299.99 range

 

Just to add, some of the EFI controllers have diff fuel maps that yu can download off the internet for the type of power you want out of your setup like power all on the top end or all on the bottom or just a allaround power similar to stock setup!!!

 

yeah taking off your lid without a EFI controller will make it worse,keep it on untill you pick one up..And keep an eye on your plug..If it looks burnt (white) dont even ride until you get a controller..
I dident skimp there,I went with the best one..Power Commander 3..really easy to install and allows you to fine tune your map..

 

o and iam trying to find out if the pwr3 has a fuel map for my lrd pro 4 slip on idk where to find that info

 

get one at fuelmoto. they are 259 and they come with a map. pretty sure they have 1 for that exhuast

you should look into getting the fuel customs intake also whenit comes out. i think that is going to be the cheapest bolt on hp you willbe able to get.
