my raptor 350 has no spark, ive checked all the connections and checked for power with a voltmeter. there is volts coming from the stator going to the cdi box but nothing going from the cdi box to the coil. i had the coil tested and they said it was good. could anyone tell me what it could possibly be? i really dont want to buy a cdi box unless i have to.

 

ID bet 100$ on it that it's the PICKUP COIL it's bolted by the stator go to http://www.rickystator.com/cat...fo.php?products_id=147 ITS RICKY STATOR THE GURU OF STATOR'S AND OTHER ELECTRIC PARTS i had the same issue with my 05 rap and it was the problem.. GOOD LUCK

Im 99% sure it is my first guess was the cdi box too then a buddy helped me out and come to find out that part is a pretty regular go out item. Let me know how it goes.. please email me if ya like xtaceice@aol.com

 

well i have one more question for u, how do i get the case off, lol, i took the one cover off and i can see a bolt attacted to what i assume is the crank, but how do i get the case off because i took all the bolts on the case off but it wont fit over that..

 

The part and stator is on the side of the motor with<~~~~~~~~ the plastic cover all you have to do is take off all the lil bolts and maybe tap the case with a rubber hammer TAKE ALL THE BOLTS OUT go here and look at the schematic of the case http://www.bikebandit.com/hous...aptor-350-2005/o/m8635 <~~copy and paste ok and go here and look at part 6 see the lil piece coming off the stator thats your part thats bad all you have to do when you get it is unhook your battery <~IMPORTANT and clip the wires there's only two color coded dont worry this is REALLY EASY I promise you so dont start stressing before you get your part like i did on a scale on 1 too 10 1 being the easiest this is a 2 at best. haha hey thanks alot, this deffinately saves from taking it to the shop to get it fixed, its just wierd that one day it was running fine and the next it doesnt start, haha its been 4 months since i rode last. i cant wait to get back out there again

 

No prob man and yea thats how mine did it ran perrrfect then one day I got it out rode it 4 like 2-3 min's and died wouldnt hit a lick, then a month or two latter a buddy wanted to look at it and said it was that part and replaced it and bam back in action...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] AND HAS BEEN GREAT SINCE..
