That sled shows just how dedicated Yamaha is to being last in the snowmobile market.Dropped the 500 no 440 and A headlight update to the 600!! Give me a break.Yamaha lost me as a sled customer.

You dont understand why yammy dropped the other sleds. Most of the sleds sold are above 600. Yamaha decided to focos their effort in the market where the greater number of sales are. Now the are focosing ond elivering the best high performance sleds that they possible can. The Viper is going to dominate. People that want a beginer sled are no longer going to buy a new fan cooled sled when for a grand more can get a hi-perf sled with modern technology. People are buying used sleds when they want to enter the sport. Yamaha did the right thing. Now yamaha is able to put more time and effort into their sleds that sell the most. I dont under stand why people really even need a 440 fan cooled beginers sled. I was always interested in sled and recently a road a mxz670 and was surpised on how much power it has and how fun it was to ride. And when the Sxviper was realease i knew i will have to get it. I may be only 15 but i work hard for what i want and i will get the sled under the spring deal with no payments/interest till feb 2002. My dad knows how hard i work and how hard i deserve it so he has no proablem finacing it for me an dhelpin me out a little.

Finally Yamaha is catching up to the other sled companies.
And don't ever talk about Arctic "Scrap". They are the biggest POS to hit the snow! They take last place in every shootout that's been done on them.
The only thing they have going for them is their batteryless EFI. But that's it.
