Default 2000 Warrior question.

I just got this quad and it runs great.. I changed the plug and did a oil change on it the other day and went out and did some hard riding in the mud... Well when I got home it seemed to be idoling kind of rough like it was going to die out.. Anyhow I washed it and started it and parked it back in the garage. 2 days later wich is today... I get home from work and go out to start it and I got nothing.. I thought the battery was dead so I charged it and still nothing. I checked the lites and they were bright and when I hit the start button they didn't dim so it wasn't drawing any power.. I taped on the started and still nothing. So I followed the wire back to the silinoid and jumped it and it started right up.. I rode it around the yard for about 15 mins and it seems like it wanted to stall every time I stoped so I had to keep on the gas.
Anyhow it did stall and I hit the start button and it clicked and then stoped.. Then nothing again. After hitting it about 4-5 times it turned over and I parked it.

Sorry that was so long but what do you think the problem is? I was thinking the switch on the handlebars. When I pull the clutch in I can hear it click in the back so that safety switch or whatever it is,is working. Other then that I guess maybe the silinoid went?? But I would think if that went it wouldn't work and then not work.. I would think it would just die and that would be it.

Also what are your thoughts on why all the sudden it want's to stall when It's idoling?? Carb cleaned maybe? It has a new filter in it..

And last but not least what is the best web page to order parts for the bike??

Thanks for your help and sorry it was so long..

Chris

first, I would unplug all the electrical connections and make sure they are clean. wd-40 works good to clean them out and won't harm them. after they are clean, get some dielectic grease and put some in the connectors. forms a water proof barrier. might have to take the starter off and make sure its all clean. it is possible that the solenoid is out. check all the cables and wiring also.
as for parts, I get all mine from motosport.com. good prices, free 2 day shipping on anything over $100 and they also tell you if its in stock or not. its great, so you don't order something and it doesn't come until a month later. been there, done that.

i think embler said it right on the electrial, but for your stalling. i would take apart your carbs and give them a good cleaning. i would go as far as take off your tank and clean that too. i had this problem last year and i replaced my inline filter too.

yep, check your pins on all your electrical connectors sometimes they get hot and fall down...like your key switch, where it plugs into the wiring harness one time mine was acting weird and i found out one of the 4 pins sunk down... so i pulled it up with needle nose pliers and then put loctite super glue down in it and it was fine, also make sure you have a fat white/blue spark and check to see if your spark plug boot isnt falling off the ign. coil wire

Ok new problem I noticed.. It seems like when the bike is at an idol it idols fine but everyone once in awhile like once a min/30 sec's it seems to want to die.. It's hard to explain but it's almost like it's idoling and the piston hits a wall.. It sounds like the engine just stops and stalls but then starts again.. kinda like brrrrrrrrrrrr______brrrrrrr.. Sorry like I said kinda hard to explain.. Any idea's. I think im going to try and find a way to get it to the shop because the front end clicks every time I turn so somthing isn't right but I would like to diegnose everything I can before I give it to them.. Save some money that I don't have..

hmm maybe it might have somthing to do with spark.. I put a new plug in 2 days ago but today I pulled the plug wire off and it was all caroded so I took a razor and scraped it off the cap to the plug then I cut the wire back some because it was all green hoping to get a better connection.. Maybe I should just get a new wire and see what happends. Thanks for the input though. The fuel was deff on because I was riding for a good 2 hours.. How exactly do I find out if there is any air pockets in the gas line or carb though?? I didn't check the gas so it might have gotten low and im a wheelie man so if it was low and I did a wheelie it might have grabed some air in the line.. How do I tell and how do I get it out?? Thanks again!!

Well I checked the spark plug and wire and there doesn't seem to be a visible problem. I ordered a new plug wire anyhow.. I drained the gas into another gas can and went and bought fresh gas and put that in it and im still having the same problem and it seems like it's getting worse.. At a idle it just makes a clunk kind of sound and dies or it makes it and picks back up almost like it stalls out and then starts back up.. Any other ideas??
