Default upgrading from 400

I currently own a 400ex and am looking to upgrade to a used 450r or yfz450...i mainly ride on trails and a little on tracks. I am wondering whether a 450r or a yfz450 would be better suited for me.

i think thats a waste of money, thats not enough of a increase to me to try selling, trading buying e.c.t and all that crap to get something with 50 more cc i would either keep it or go get a 660r or 700 your choice

What? Do you not know how much difference there is between a 400 EX and a 450R??? If you don't know then let me inform you that there is ALOT of difference. The 450's are just as fast as the 700 and they are faster than a 660. CC's are not everything.

Anyway, both would be a good choice, but the YFZ450 is set up a little better for the track and it seems the aftermarket has more stuff for the YFZ than the 450R.

I do agree that teh 700 raptor is a nice machine and probably better for trails. I do not like the looks however.

50 more cc's? What does that have to do with the price of tea in china? 450 trumps a 660 in everything but reverse.

I love my yfz. Bro loves his 450R. You'll love whichever you choose. I'd go ride both if you can and make your decision there. I chose yfz because it sits and feels a little better to me. You may find the same for one or the other.
