Default 2008 wolverine upgrades

i have new 2008 wolverine SE. i would like to know what kind of exhaust intake and jetting options i have for this quad? i know HMF makes an exhaust that i'm probably going to end up with and that dynojet makes a jet kit which again i will probably get. but where can i get an intake kit for my wolverine? i don't like the stock set up with just the filter stuck in the box i was wondering if anyone makes a aftermarket adaptor to fit a bigger filter and have a hose clamp mount assembly or something similar.

and also does anyone make a front diff lock or a limited slip? and if so what kind of preformance will i see from it? i mean does the limited slip work well or no? and also how much more will it hinder the turning radius locking the front up?

any help would be greatly appericated(sp) and i thank you in advance.

well reason is the topic has been talked about lots already ! haha

ok

here is my 2 cents....hmf is good but loud...i think it has the most as for power gains with the jetting..

airbox well i agree the stock one sux ****....i am pretty sure there is an adaptor out there for 100 bux or so...i would think you could makeone for 5 if you get creative.

locker....detroit gearless from a 03 kodiak works,it is not sold for our atvs so that is done at your own risk....and it takes some messing around to get it working correctly...

depending on what kind of riding you do tires are also a great upgrade..

anything else?

I havent seen an intake for the 06+450 wolvy, the old 350 had one available though.

I like the GYTR pipe myself, also the HMF and I believe AAEN makes one too.

I did the dynojet kit with mine.

i'm fine with the HMF being loud i have one on my 700R raptor and love it. i just wanted to know if it's a good upgrade for the wolvy.

do you have any idea where to get one of those airbox mods?

and what kind of jetting did you go with?

and i mostly ride trails with alot of sandy soil, and goopy mud. what kind of tires would you recommend that will hold up good on the road for the most part also? i know that pavement tears up tires really fast but what kind would you recommend?

the hmf comes with a new jet.... but i do find it to big...runs to rich.... i am changing mine to a 136 this weekend to try that....

as for tires .... i have had the 25 inch mudlites and they were ok....but i now have 26 inch Zilla's and i love them....there not to heavy and pretty damn good on mud and on trails....i am sold on them.....

not sure who sells the airbox mod... i would make one myself....pvc pipe and some proper glue and a couple nuts and bolts !

What size main comes with your pipe? What altitude do you live at? Is your airbox stock?

it is a 140 main jet that comes with the Hmf pipe.....I am at sea level... and only mods done to the air box is the lid, I have added a few air vents ( filtered of course) I phoned Hmf to ask about why such a large jet was sent with the pipe. there response was we tune all our pipes and jets without an air box lid...said if I ran it without the lid it would be perfect....now to me that is stupid since I would never run a wolverine without a lid.....for starters the lid holds the filter down in place in the air box... second I ride in lots of terrain such as water mud and dusty trails.....

so I plan on trying a smaller jet.... will be picking one up tomorrow....
