Yamaha Bruin 350 4x4 backfires and kills
#1
I went out the other day and run my bruin 350 4x4 through a bunch of mud and it was a ton of fun, but on the way home from the muddin' hole it backfired on me twice and then killed. Then I just figured I had overheated it, so I let it sit for awhile then started it back up again and rode it for about 6-700 yards then it backfired twice again and killed. I blew out the air filter of water and just cleaned it up, but now it will just start up for a few seconds then kill. Anybody know what's wrong?
Thanks

my 99 big bear 4x4 350 does that after i turn the fuel off about 2 minutes on the ride back home. it will run about 3 minutes in gear, so when im 2 minutes away, i turn the fuel off. if i try to accelerate while the fuel is off as it is running out of the bowl, it will backfire. that is the only time it does this.
did the motor aspirate water? it sounds like something could be stuck in one of the jets restricting your fuel delivery.
