Default Broken Wolverine carb

This weekend my (edit: 2007) Wolvy died on the trail. We took the bowl off and blew out the jets, but still no change. Then my "buddy", decided to give the carb a wack and cracked the carb.... ughhh. It was a long tow back.

I've been trying to find a used Wolvy carb, but I can't find any. Is there any other carb that will fit, just to get me back on the trail????

Thanks,
KC

i am positive that the older wolverine had a 350 carb. i bought a carb 4 years ago of Ebay that came off a wolverine if i remember correctily. so you can look for the 350 's for a carb. just make sure it has the same jettings as your. if i was you i would stick a inline fuel filter on your quad,, those size of jets are easy to clog up.

the new 450 carb is different, as far as I know for positive, just a wolvy 450. There is a posibility that one off of a 125 dirtbike will work as they look the same(but I have not tested it at this time) Was planning on doing a swap sometime in the future but I have not found one cheap enough to just jump into the project.

i think you should give your friend a whack on the head.....lol.....worst thing is i would be willing to bet your problem had nothing to do with the carb.....check your plug and spark and so on....

as far as finding a carb.....that might be a tuff one....i bet a yamaha dealer would charge you up the **** for one...let us know how you make out

Isn't the newer Wolverine using the same motor/carb as the Kodiak? it is the same 421cc motor that was in the 450 Kodiak for the last few years, perhaps that carb will work for you?

you can get a new entire carb assembly from powerpartsplus for $163.82, you probably wont find one cheaper unless you go with a used one.

just go to www.powerpartsplus.com ,go to Yamaha ATV parts, Yamaha OEM ATV parts, select the Brand, Type, year, and model, and then go to Carburetor....you can order a new one from there.
