When they say the kodiak hold 2.7 us quarts, how many ounces are in .7 or how much of the third quart do i dump in?? I dont want to over fill and waste that expensive oil. Thanks for your help.

Hi,kodiakkid

I have the same thing, my Wolverine is 2.9 (why not 3 even?) What I usually do is put in a known value,2.5 quarts (1/2 quart,16 ounces) and add a little at a time, checking with the dip stick until it reads good on the stick. Then look at what is left and use that as your add point from now on. Otherwise, .7 of one quart is about 22 ounces, leaving 10 in the bottle for next time.
Easy, huh? (a lot easier would be even numbers from the manufacturers !!!!! )
Hope that helps, and have fun on the trail!

Hey thank's, when i put in 2 and 3/4 of quart, it was over full and i had to drain some out. I like your idea of under filling and the add check system. Thanks for the help to the simple question!!
