Default warrior Vs 300ex

shorter race- i think you are going to take him. the 300ex is a reworked 250x engine which was rated only about 5mph slower than a warrior back in the day. 2 valve for the warrior vs 4 valve for 300.... the honda engine is just a better engine for this. it will respond to mods a little better. i used to ride with several 250X's back then, and to me the 250x was faster on shorter distances. and it was a helluva lot more fun and handled way better. on longer races, yes, the warrior would beat it; but not by much.
what wakes up a warrior with simply "bolt ons" is a full exhuast, cam (id get a webcam(not a computer camera) not hot cam for this one they have been doing warriors for years), and get rid of the stock, p.o.s. carb. also what goes allong with it - jet it right, and get a uni air filter. the stock exhaust on the warrior is one of the heaviest and most restrictive out there from the factory, barring the utes.

Default warrior Vs 300ex

never raced a 300ex but i have raced a stock 400ex, i think it just had holeshots and a baffle out but it had more low end than me and maybe slightly better top speed but in a drag i would beat him, the guy was giving full throttle riding around an apple orchard and i was keeping up with him without even running wide open

yeah, you should be able to run with the warrior. your 300 is a lot lighter than a warrior even though the warrior has a bigger motor.
